A weekend trip in Brussels with two very excellent women

A cheesy, potatoe-y, meaty meal in Trier, Germany.

  • Spending lots of wonderful quality time with our little nephew who visited with his parents last week – I was so sad when they left on Tuesday!
  • Visiting some beautiful parts of Luxembourg (including Luxembourg City itself as well as places like Esch-sur-Alzette, Echternach, Schengen…)
  • Reading this beautiful graphic novel (in French!)
  • Little baby feet
  • Carrying a happy baby
  • Phoning an old friend and having a lovely little catch-up chat
  • Crossing borders like it’s nothing

Fresh pasta, fruity sangria, and my favourite magazine in the sunshine in Liège

  • A glorious, glorious Sunday, with babies and friends and sunshine and BBQ food and fresh wraps and laughter and cats and dogs and grass between toes
  • A very lovely Saturday where I had a free day all alone and went on a solo road trip to Liège in Belgium, where I did a spot of book-and-coffee-pod shopping, saw some sights, and had a long, leisurely al fresco lunch (with two big glasses of sangria and a giant pot of fresh pasta)
  • The Happy Reader (it’s so good.)
  • The Handmaid’s Tale – have you been watching it? It’s harrowing and beautiful and I cannot wait for the final episode.
